Airport Metro Re-Starts Flight Check-In Facility in Delhi

Holiday makers holidaying in India’s colourful capital city of Delhi and are planning to embark on a journey back to their homeland have all reasons to rejoice now. City’s Airport Express Line metro rail has restarted check-in facility for passengers booking tickets on flights to all domestic and few global destinations from Delhi.

The facility is now available, starting from 6 am in the morning to 8 pm in the evening, for passengers who book tickets on flights to fly out of India’s capital. Additionally, passengers may check-in at least two-and-a-half-hours before their scheduled departure of their flights.

India’s flag carrier, Air India and India’s largest airline, Jet Airways have already started offering the facility to tickets buyers at the New Delhi Metro station of the Airport Express Line. In addition, authorities are also in discussion with several international airlines to set up check-in counters for visitors booking tickets on flights on international routes from the capital city.

With the services now open, budget conscious visitors who prefer train travel within India to facilitate cheap holidays would be able to collect their boarding passes maximum eight hours prior to their scheduled departure time.

Additionally, passengers booking tickets aboard flights to fly out of the city may now hand over their luggage at the Airport Express Line Metro Station itself and utilise the time to explore the prominent attractions of the destination.
