India’s Kerala to Organise Mountain Biking Event to Lure Tourists

State tourism department of Kerala is all set to organise a global mountain biking competition in November 2012. The event is being held keeping in mind the tourism interest of the state. Authorities believe that the three day global affair is sure to lure leisure vacationers into looking for flights to India, connecting country’s southern region.

The event would be held in the Kovalam seaside resort and Thenmala in Kollam district of the southern state of India, already popular holiday hubs among tourists booking flights to the province.

The event has been scheduled for the later part of the year as it is a high tourist season. Heaps of holidaymakers take Kerala bound flights to India during November-December as the weather during the months is just perfect for not only sightseeing but also for outdoor activities.

Authorities expressed faith that the MTB 2012 is going to lure a huge number of domestic as well as foreign sports lovers and tourists, beguiling them to grab state bound flights. A cross country race, which is billed as the main attraction of the event, will take place in Thenmala, a popular ecotourism hub of the nation.

Authorities have also launched a website for the event, which is surely going to be a beneficial tool for vacationers who are contemplating booking flights to India during November and are inclined to take a trip to country’s southern province.
