New magazine celebrates India's adventurous side

A new magazine catered towards adventure tourists in India has hit the stands this week.

Explore was launched by Nawang Rigzin Zora, minister for tourism and culture in Jammu and Kashmir, who hopes the magazine will unlock India's potential for providing adventure holidays, the Deccan Herald reports.

He was joined at the launch by Lok Sabha member Shahnawaz Hussain, Adventure Tour Operators Association of India vice-president Ravi Singh Kalara and Indian Mountaineering Foundation president Colonel H S Chouhan.

The inaugural edition of Explore covers activities such as rafting in Zanskar, jeep safaris in Manali-Leh and camping at Pangong Tso.
