Global Hospitality Firm Plans Expansion in India

Keeping the trend going, American hospitality giant Carlson Rezidor is going to invest big in the realm, hoping to open up as many as 100 properties in the nation by 2015, divulge online reports.

A top company official elucidated that currently Carlson Rezidor has 56 hotels in operations with an additional 43 in pipeline. 

The firm says that it will open doors of 14 hotels in the coming few months, allowing tourists who are currently browsing the Internet for cheap flights tickets to the ancient land of India to include the options in their scheme of things. The properties will come up under different brands of the company. While those with deep pockets can opt for up-scale addresses, the kinds who chose to book cheap flights tickets can opt for mid-range properties. In short, there are enough alternatives by the Carlson for different sorts of crowd trickling in. 

Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Inn, Park Plaza and Country Inn & Suites are some of the brands governed by the corporation, providing numerous options to tourists landing in India after booking tickets on flights.

Mid-Level Travellers to India to Have More Accommodation Picks

Yet another global hotel brand is looking towards India for expanding its operations. This time it is the US-based Wyndham Hotel Group that has decided to invest in the country that has been seeing a massive rise in the investment by foreign hospitality chains, brining cheer to foreigners taking flights tickets to India who up till now complained of lack of quality guest rooms.

Wyndham Group has announced plans to set up 70 properties in India by 2016 under different brand names. The chain is looking to target the mid and mid-premium market, offering quality options to travellers who seek rather cheap flights tickets for a travel to India.

The US-based company already operates in the country under brands like Ramada, Wyndham, Days Inn and Ramada Plaza. Now, the firm hopes to bring in the well-known brands like Howard Johnson and Hawthorn Suits to the country, allowing foreigners taking tickets on India flights to seek refuge in a familiar abode! As per sources, the first property under the Howard Johnson will be established in Bangalore, a popular city in southern part of the nation. It will come up by next year. The hotel will be looking to cater to foreign tourists who are not the ‘spendthrift’ kinds and are the ones who look for cheap deals for tickets on India bound flights.

In the first phase, 22 properties will come up in cities like Mumbai, Tirupati, Lucknow and Bhubaneswar.

Soon, More Hotels to Greet Flyers Taking India Flights

Finding it tough to locate a quality hotel room in India may soon be a thing of past for those taking country bound flights! Taking a cue from a host of other hospitality firms that have decided to open up hotel properties in India in the recent past, another major global player has announced its plans to establish properties in the nation.

Much to the delight of domestic and international vacationers taking flights to India, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has divulged expansion plans for India by establishing as many as 150 properties across the nation by 2020.  

As of now, the firm has 12 properties in the nation under three brands - InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn, catering to local population and those on flights to the ancient nation for tourism or business interests. Holiday Inn Express, another brand of the company, will open up in November, serving those on flights bound to the west part of the country.

India’s stock as a popular vacation destination is on upswing for long now, with many wanting to take flights to the country to sample a slice of the region’s legendary cultural diversity and vibrant traditions. However, there have been some concerns when it comes to accommodation options in the country as various reports reveal that demand greatly outstrips supply in Indian hotel sector. But things have taken a turn for the better now with several firms making investment plans for the nation, much to the cheer of country’s tourism industry as well as those taking flights to Indian cities.
