With Eyes on Kumbh Rush, SpiceJet Connects Delhi-Allahabad


Foreign travellers who wish to soak themselves in the auburn shade of India’s religious fervour by attending the Kumbh Mela, being held in Allahabad, will now have more flights tickets options available to them after they land in Delhi, India’s premier gateway.

SpiceJet, one of India’s leading low cost airlines, has announced the commencement of flights from the national capital to the holy city where currently the world’s biggest religious gathering is happening. Kumbh is a festival that entices not only the domestic travellers from all over India to congregate at Allahabad but attracts a huge number of foreigners as well, tempting them to book tickets on flights landing in India. And the new flights launch by SpiceJet is sure to please such vacationers who are planning a visit to the Kumbh Mela as almost all of them would be landing in Delhi.

The first flight on the route took off on February 4, 2013.

SpiceJet’s new daily flight will leave India’s capital at 13:35 and will reach Allahabad at 14:30.  Tickets seekers looking for airline tickets for the return leg will find the flight leaving ‘Sangam city’ at 14:50 for its journey back to Delhi. The budget carrier has deployed a 78-seater Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the route and is aiming to offer cheap options for flights tickets on the trip.
