Goa unveils tourism plans

Goa is already one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Indian subcontinent and things are set to get even better for the coastal state.

Government officials will ask some of the world's best consultants to enhance Goa's tourism potential.

Tourism minister Dilip Parulekar said that more than 450,000 international tourists visited Goa last year, but the area has the potential to attract even more.

Plans underway already include the formulation of a new water sports policy and the development of marinas, reports the Times of India.
