Dubai to unveil A380-exclusive terminal

Dubai Airport is to get its very own A380-only terminal to accommodate 20 of the world's largest passenger airliner.

The $3 billion (£1.9 billion) building is being constructed adjacent to Terminal 3 and will open later this year - taking the airport's capacity up to around 75 million passengers, the Indo-Asian News Service reports.

'Concourse 3', as it will be known, has been described as a "mini city" and will have two luxury hotels, first and business class lounges, a large duty free area, food courts, restaurants and more.

"Most of the structural work is complete. The work is now on by world-class companies in areas like airport systems, security and communications solutions and the rest of the internal infrastructure," explained Khalifa Suhail Al Zaffin, executive chairman of Dubai World Central which overseas the airport.
