Australian outback 'full of stunning attractions'

Travellers heading to Australia have a choice of stunning locations to visit.

People heading away on cheap flights to Australia have a wide choice of stunning locations to visit on their holiday, according to one expert.

Glynn Jacobs, project manager at visitoutbacknsw.com, advised that people who want to get off the beaten track on their trip can try driving along the Darling River Run, which follows the Darling River through several outback towns.

White Cliffs was also recommended for having the unique feature of underground hotels.

"Lightning Ridge is home to some of the world's most spectacular gemstones, friendly locals and colourful characters," Mr Jacobs added, stating that a trip to the opal fields is a must for those in the area.

For those who like to take their cameras away with them, visiting Silverton, which is famous for its red earth, was highly recommended.
