White Rabbit contemporary art exhibition to open in Adelaide

The exhibition is set to open to the public on Friday.

Art enthusiasts could be tempted to book cheap flights to Adelaide and check out a new contemporary Chinese exhibition that opens in the city this week.

As part of the South Australia capital's OzAsia Festival, the installation - entitled White Rabbit - will run at the Anne & Gordon Samstag Museum of Art from Friday (July 15th) until September 30th.

Works will be presented in a variety of different media, including sculpture, animation and painting, by some of China's top emerging creative talent.

Yan Baishen, Sun Furong, Bu Hua, Shi Jindian and Wu Junyong are among the artists whose works are set to be showcased at the exhibition.

One of the pieces, a series of cut-up suits, is described by Furong as portraying the idea that "in the struggle for survival you are stripped and eaten away by many things you cannot help ... until you are broken".
