PGA pro golfer Ernie Els has given his top five reasons why golf fans should book flights to South Africa by describing his favourite fairways in the rainbow nation.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Els was full of high praise for Fancourt in the Outeniqua Mountains, which he said was "fast becoming one of South Africa's best golfing destinations".
Other golfing highlights picked out by the 18-times champion include Leopard Creek Country Club, which lives up to its exotic name with hippos and crocodiles in the water hazards, and antelope, buffalo, and elephant seen alongside several holes.
Those looking to combine some safari and golf can also head to Hans Merensky, a course that winds through the Valley of the Elephants.
