Malaysia Airlines All Set to Increase Its New Zealand Flights


Premium full service carrier, Malaysia Airlines has announced to offer tickets on daily flights on its Kuala Lumpur-Auckland sector that will commence from 24 November 2013. The airline earlier offered tickets on six weekly flights on the route.

Qatar Airways Increases Seat Capacity to Kochi, India

Those who regularly seek air tickets to travel between Doha and Kochi, India will be a happy lot as the national airline of the State of Qatar, Qatar Airways, has announced that it will significantly increase the seating capacity on flights between the two cities. The carrier has decided to replace the narrow-body Airbus 321 with wide-body Airbus 330 to run the flights.
The airline has made it clear that the larger aircraft will be plied on all of its 11 frequencies to and from Kochi, a major port city in South India. The move, which comes at the time of the airline’s 10th anniversary of flight operations to the city in Kerala, is bound to put smiles on the faces of frequent fliers who seek tickets on the route regularly. Those booking tickets from Kochi can connect to over 125 destinations around the world via the airline’s hub in Doha.

The decision to increase the capacity on the route has been triggered by the increasing demand of flights tickets on the sector, said the carrier’s management. 

The Qatari carrier will offer two-class configuration on its A330 flights to South India. Travellers can either opt to block tickets for relatively cheap Economy Class seats that are 248 in number or choose to book tickets for 36 Business Class seats.

AirAsia Retimes Its Kolkata-Bangkok Flight Schedule

Jet Airways Starts Flights from Kochi to Kuwait

Providing more options to fliers looking for air tickets on the India-Gulf sector, Jet Airways, one of India’s largest private operators, has started seven new flights between Kochi and Kuwait. This was recently revealed by a press release of the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).  These flights will be operated via the Abu Dhabi International Airport, providing passengers a chance to book tickets on cheap indirect flights.
The carrier currently provides tickets on 11 direct flights in a week between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi and a further seven weekly direct flights between Indian capital New Delhi and the UAE capital. The press release also reveals that the Indian carrier will ply a Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) aircraft for the new route. A total of 170 seats will be offered to those reserving tickets for the service. 

Kochi, a beautiful port city in the province of Kerala, is the first city in South India that has been linked by Jet Airways with Abu Dhabi. 

Jet Airways is one of the largest carriers of India and offers tickets on flights for 20 international destinations, including the Arabian Gulf. 

Authorities at the ADAC believe that the new route offers a significant connection between the two markets - India and Kuwait - that are important for the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
