Providing more options to fliers looking for air tickets on the India-Gulf sector, Jet Airways, one of India’s largest private operators, has started seven new flights between Kochi and Kuwait. This was recently revealed by a press release of the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). These flights will be operated via the Abu Dhabi International Airport, providing passengers a chance to book tickets on cheap indirect flights.
The carrier currently provides tickets on 11 direct flights in a week between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi and a further seven weekly direct flights between Indian capital New Delhi and the UAE capital. The press release also reveals that the Indian carrier will ply a Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) aircraft for the new route. A total of 170 seats will be offered to those reserving tickets for the service.
Kochi, a beautiful port city in the province of Kerala, is the first city in South India that has been linked by Jet Airways with Abu Dhabi.
Jet Airways is one of the largest carriers of India and offers tickets on flights for 20 international destinations, including the Arabian Gulf.
Authorities at the ADAC believe that the new route offers a significant connection between the two markets - India and Kuwait - that are important for the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
