The 6th edition of Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) is starting and it is time for every music lover and culture vulture from India or arriving on India bound flights to Jodhpur, to embark on a musical journey featuring folk, fusion and fun! The RIFF 2012 goes live on October 26th to last until 30th.
This internationally acclaimed fest promises a gala time to its patrons who have been waiting eagerly after netting those cheap tickets on flights to India Rajasthan. Both locals and international visitors who have managed to grab tickets or passes to the fest will be able to witness action-packed performances by around 250 global and local music artists.
The international artists to perform at the event are Colombian band, Grupo Cimmarron and Burhan Ocal, a master multi-instrumentalist amongst a host of other artists from Australia, Colombia, Ireland, the Netherlands, Scotland, Sri Lanka and Turkey and India. There is not the slightest of doubt that fans who either burnt a hole in their pockets by booking last minute flights or those advance planners who picked cheap air tickets on flights will be equally enthralled and taken by a storm at the fest.
Apart from offering high energy, quality music and an unbeatable setting, the event also promises to offer a dazzling insight into India’s colourful traditions and rich history with a series of interactive sessions with Rajasthan's local communities.
