Students at Mumbai University are to mark World Theatre Day on March 28th.
The students of Mumbai University have been marking World Theatre Day by putting on a performance of Khalid ki Khala.
Young people studying at the Academy of Theatre Arts at the institution are putting on the show today (March 28th 2012) and have been involved in all aspects of getting the story to the stage.
Members of the public are able to attend and the doors open at 19:15 local time.
"The annual event of staging a classic play is part of the curriculum for our students and is also aimed to commemorate World Theatre Day observed globally on March 27th," explained Waman Kendre, director of the institution's theatre school.
This performance of the classic Indian play comes a day after National Theatre Day itself, which was observed with a number of events around the world.
