Travellers taking flights to Thailand could find that a fun and unusual event is due to take place while they are in the location.
The Chonburi region is set to play host to the annual Buffalo Race on October 11th 2011 and will see skilled riders taking each other on as they aim to get their beast to cross the finish line in the fastest time.
Held on the lawn in front of the Chonburi District Office, the day plays host to a range of other attractions, including folk music concerts and the Miss Buffalo prize, when one local girl will be named this year's pageant queen.
There will also be a parade of traditional wagons and contests for every type of buffalo, varying from most beautiful to the funniest.
