Air France is set to get a new line of aircraft following the news it has made several orders.
People taking flights to India on Air France planes could be taking them on one of its brand new aircraft after it confirmed it has placed an order with Boeing.
The airline has revealed that it has placed an order for 110 long-haul aircraft in the form of 50 orders and 60 options, with the board of directors for Air France KLM stating that the confirmation is subject to confirmation with the manufacturers.
Its order will comprise of Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft and the intention is to replace in the medium term its current craft with 250 to 300 seats, as well as supporting its growing operations.
"For its first joint order, the Air France KLM group made its selection after a detailed assessment showing all the performance characteristics of each aircraft," said Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, chief executive officer of Air France KLM.
