Parents heading away with their kids have been advised that all they need is a notebook and pens to keep the children entertained.
Parents heading away with their children on flights to Egypt this summer have been offered some advice on how to keep their children entertained.
Cathy Ranson, editor-in-chief of Netmums, suggested that there is no need for parents to splash out on expensive items to avoid boredom in the departure longue, as all they need is to get their children a notepad and some pens.
She explained that with a little bit of imagination, it is possible to keep a child entertained for a long period of time with something so simple.
"Little ones like to draw around their hand or colour in things you've drawn for them. Older children can play noughts and crosses, hang man, draw cartoons or draw you a picture," Ms Ranson advised.
