Lufthansa’s ‘Queen of the Skies’ Debuts at Delhi International Airport

German carrier’s latest global fleet member - the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental (B747-8) received a grand welcome at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Lufthansa’s newest flight to India made Delhi the first Asian city to have received latest Boeing 747-8 flights featuring sophisticated business class facility that features comfortable reclining seats that can be converted into a 6.5 feet long, horizontal sleeping surface.

Besides the superlative business class facilities, 362-seater, B747-8 Intercontinental flights will feature 8 first class, 92 business class seats and 262 economy class seats. While sybarites will be able to enjoy airline’s signature business class facilities and services aboard flights, higher availability of economy class seats will ensure that budget travellers looking for cheap flights to India from Frankfurt are a happy lot.

Lufthansa’s newest aircrafts, B747-8 will replace the B747-400 aircrafts on daily direct flights connecting Delhi and Frankfurt. Besides its debut B747-8 flight to India, the airline is also planning to introduce B747-8 on Bangalore-Frankfurt flights within next two months.
