Qatar Airways’ fans expecting to grab tickets to fly aboard the sleek Boeing 787 Dreamliners now have the opportunity to realise their fantasy. The premium full service carrier has announced to extend its Boeing 787 Dreamliner route network to India.
The popular Middle Eastern carrier is all set to start offering tickets aboard its Boeing 787 aircraft to and from Delhi and Bangalore in India, services starting from September 1 2013.
The aircraft have been configured to accommodate 254 custom-made seats including 22 in Business Class and 232 in Economy Class cabins. The higher number of economy class seats on the airliners will ensure that budget travellers looking for relatively cheap tickets aboard Qatar Airways’ full service flights are a happy lot.
Industry insiders reveal that India has long been a key market for Qatar Airways and the carrier offers tickets aboard 95 passenger flights non-stop each week from 12 gateway cities to its hub in Doha.
Presently, the carrier offers tickets on daily flights between Doha and Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Amritsar, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Trivandrum, Chennai and Bangalore in India along with 11 weekly flights from Cochin and double daily flights from India’s capital city - Delhi.
Those who net tickets aboard Qatar Airways’ flights departing from India will be able to connect to popular destinations such as London, New York, Montreal, Washington, Dubai, Nairobi, Paris, Frankfurt and Oslo via Doha.
With its hub at Doha International Airport, Qatar Airways offers tickets for flights on its extensive network of destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Europe, Africa and North America.
