The airline already offers tickets for daily flights from New Delhi and Mumbai, the two prominent metropolises of India. It is now planning to deploy the newly bought luxurious Boeing-787 Dreamliner from Mumbai, India's financial capital, effective from later this month.

As yet the plans for the new routes are for various India destinations like Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata. However, the carrier is contemplating to offer tickets on new flights from Chennai in a year. On the other hand, Bangalore and other destinations in southern India are being explored to begin direct flights from Ethiopian capital.

Besides, it is also offering tickets for stop-over operations to other African destinations including Tanzania and Kenya that enjoy popularity for its wildlife and safaris.

India is one of the significant markets for the carrier.
