British Airways’ fans expecting to fly aboard the airline’s first Airbus A380 are a happy lot as they can now realise their fantasy. The flag carrier of the UK is all set to add A380 aircraft on its ‘Red Carpet Route’ that connects London and Los Angeles in USA. BA is already offering tickets on its all new A380 flights that will start from October 15, 2012.
Home of Hollywood, Los Angeles in the USA is the first destination for operator’s first ever A380 service. It is expected that the British carrier will receive its double-decker superjumbo aircraft in July.
Furthermore, the airline has also launched a special airfare scheme to celebrate the launch of its A380. As per the latest scheme by the airline, return tickets on its A380 flights deployed on USA-UK sector will start from £499 in World Traveller (economy). Those willing to upgrade to World Traveller Plus (premier economy) seats may pay a special price of £380 for the upgrade. Club World return tickets start from a special price of £1,900 for each person booking flights with British Airways.
The new double-decker A380 is spacious enough to accommodate more than 450 passengers who spend on tickets on flights across different cabins on the USA-UK route. The higher availability of seats on the new aircraft might ensure that even budget passengers looking for relatively cheap air travel deals with the full service carrier are a happy lot.
