The new light-premium subsidiary of Thai Airways, Thai Smile is all set to start operating its flights from India connecting Hyderabad and Bangkok from September 16, 2012.
India’s culturally rich city, Hyderabad will be airline’s fourth global destination. Reports indicate that the new carrier will take over Thai Airways’ Hyderabad-Bangkok route and will make it to a daily flight service.
The airline will deploy A320 aircraft for its new flights.
The budget carrier will offer around 15% cheaper airfares as compared to the regular Thai Airways flight tickets in an endeavour to please the budget travellers who look for relatively cheap flights tickets to travel between the destinations.
The passenger traffic on Thailand-Hyderabad sector is pretty high with many flyers travelling between these popular holiday destinations. Experts believe that the new budget carrier will help to further enhance the passenger traffic on the Hyderabad-Bangkok route.
Thai Smile Airways is also planning to introduce flights to a few more destinations in India. However, the airline will start operating flights to new Indian cities only when it gets a positive response from its maiden service to India.
Besides its new flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok, the airline also plans to connect popular destinations like Phuket and Krabi to India.
