Abu Dhabi airline Etihad Airways has announced a huge increase in passenger numbers and profits.
In the second quarter, 2.55 million passengers travelled with Etihad, an increase of 34 per cent - taking the total for the half year to 4.89 million in the half year.
As a result, the airline's second quarter revenues were up 31 per cent to $1.25 billion (£0.8 million); bringing its total revenues for the year to $2.24 billion, up from $1.73 billion for the same period in 2011.
