The first films to be on the line up for Sydney Film Festival have been announced.
Sydney Film Festival has announced the first of the movies that will be shown during this year's event.
Cinema fans can now plan to see a number of award-winning titles, including Beasts of the Southern Wild, which took US Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival and Tabu, which scooped the Fipresci prize at Berlin Film Festival
A total of 25 films have been announced by the organisers of the event, which is to take place in the city between June 6th and 16th.
Nashen Moodley festival director for Sydney Film Festival, said: "This is just a cross-section and a taste of what we have in store, but you'll already see the extraordinary diversity in subject, style and geography that makes a great international film festival."
