Over the weekend this consistent temperature level was reached and it has remained high in the city ever since, with the mercury peaking at 40.6 degrees C on Monday March 12th.
It is only the third time that the city has recorded temperatures this high for four days during March, with the event previously happening during 1922 and 2003.
Overall, Perth has also recorded the highest average monthly temperature on record for the month of March so far.
