New Zealand International Film Festival kicks off in Auckland later this month with a film by a homegrown director.
Cinema buffs taking flights to Auckland can find out about some of the best domestic and overseas movies at the New Zealand International Film Festival.
The Auckland leg of the event runs from July 14th to August 3rd, with other regional parts of the occasion taking place in Christchurch, Dunedin, Gisbourne, New Plymouth and Wellington among other places over the coming months.
A full programme has now been released by the organisers and people can buy tickets for individual screenings online.
There will be major premieres, intriguing documentaries, family-friendly adventures and truly peculiar motion pictures to be enjoyed over the course of the three weeks.
Kicking off the festival will be Love Story, a movie made by Auckland filmmaker Florian Habicht.
